Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026.

Rooting for Earth is run by Nathalie Markiefka, registered at Davidkova 986/121, 182 00 Praha, Czech Republic. This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what your rights are. If you have any questions about it, you're welcome to get in touch through the Connect page.

What this site collects, and why

This site collects personal data only where you choose to give it, through one of its two forms:

Both forms are handled by Netlify, the company that hosts this website, using its built-in form service. Netlify receives and stores your submission so it can be delivered; it isn't used for anything beyond that. You can read Netlify's own privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.

Analytics

This site uses GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to see how many people visit and which pages they read. GoatCounter counts page views and referring sites without using cookies or other tracking identifiers, and it is not designed to build a profile of individual visitors.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies for tracking or advertising, and neither of the tools it uses (Netlify Forms and GoatCounter) requires cookies to work. Because of this, there is no cookie banner: there is nothing on this site to ask your consent for.

Fonts and other assets

The fonts, images and styling on this site are all hosted directly here rather than pulled in from a third party. Simply visiting a page does not send any information to Google or anyone else beyond what's needed to load the page itself from Netlify.

How long your data is kept

Form submissions are kept only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry or, for expressions of interest, to consider it and follow up with you about it. Rooting for Earth does not sell, rent or share your data with anyone else, and does not use it for marketing you haven't asked for.

Where your data is processed

Netlify, which hosts this site and its forms, is based in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, Netlify provides appropriate safeguards, as described in its own privacy policy linked above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to restrict or object to how it's used, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority if you think your data has been mishandled. To exercise any of these rights, get in touch through the Connect page.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
